Get Set for September

After a challenging school year, schools are now ready to take a well-earned break and enjoy the Summer Holidays but while Summer is a time to relax, schools are also thinking ahead for how to best provide for their pupils in what fingers crossed will be the post-pandemic world in September 2021.

This blog looks at why joining or being a part of the Teach Active community will benefit your school by supporting your pupils' transition back to school with a physically active recovery curriculum that raises standards through Active Maths and English lessons while also rebuilding well-being, re-establishing teamwork, and recovering gaps in learning.

Over 3000+ Maths and English Plans

Our easy-to-use Maths and English products now comprise over 3000 online lesson plans and resources which are independently proven to raise attitudes and attainment by helping to inspire, motivate and engage your pupils whilst increasing levels of physical activity.

Over the past year, we have launched our Active English resources, which now contains over 1500 Lesson Plans and covers Writing and Reading objectives.

As part of our continued commitment to development, we also refreshed the Teach Active Dashboard to give it an easy-to-use feel across all devices, allowing you to access your lesson plans and resources whenever and wherever you need them.

Up to Date Curriculum

As the curriculum changes so will the Teach Active resources – and our Early Years lesson plans and Resources will be updated to the new EYFS framework and will be available for the start of the 2021-22 school year.

PE and Sport Premium

Primary schools will continue to receive the £320 million PE and Sport Premium in the next academic year, the Department for Education has confirmed.

Schools will also be able to carry forward underspends from this year and last so they can “prioritize physical activities, sport and physical education with mental health and wellbeing support, or education catch up and tutoring”.

This is incredible news as Teach Active qualifies for the PE and Sport Premium and is recognised as a good use of spending these funds.
