Why are so many schools introducing Active Maths/English lessons?
Less than half (47%) of primary aged children meet the government’s guidelines to be active for 60 minutes a day. This is not only affecting our children’s physical health, but also their social, emotional and mental well-being.
97% of children state that they like to move – and by incorporating movement in to Maths and English lessons our research with Loughborough University shows that those taking part in regular active lessons are ‘significantly happier’. Furthermore, children are retaining information, mastering key skills, and attaining better in these core subjects as a result of this approach.
