Transform your school’s Maths results with Teach Active Maths: online drop-in sessions now available!

Looking for a proven way to raise maths attainment and engage students through active learning? Join Jon Smedley, former Deputy Headteacher, and founder of Teach Active Maths, for a series of online drop-in sessions designed to introduce his dynamic approach to maths teaching.

In his previous school, maths results went from below national averages to the top 5% in the country. The school accomplished this by incorporating active learning techniques into maths lessons alongside White Rose and NCETM planning. This innovative approach was so effective that it led to the school’s inclusion in an Ofsted Sharing of Good Practice paper and participation in a Department for Education (DfE) project.

With Teach Active Maths, Jon has brought his strategies to schools across the UK and internationally, helping schools raise both attainment and enthusiasm for maths. His approach is even endorsed by the DfE as an excellent use of PE and Sport funding, aligning with objectives to make the school day more active and foster whole-school improvement.

What to Expect in a Teach Active Maths Drop-In Session

These 30-minute online sessions offer a relaxed, informal space for school leaders to learn more about the Teach Active Maths approach. Jon will demonstrate how active learning can transform maths lessons, boost student engagement, and support school-wide improvement goals. Attendees will gain insights into proven strategies that can be applied immediately and see firsthand how Teach Active Maths could benefit their own school communities.

Why Book a Session?

  • Discover a new way to make maths more engaging and effective
  • Understand how Teach Active Maths aligns with the DfE’s PE and Sport funding criteria
